Shout out loud, put your hands up high..
It's Music Man, Lee Hom in the house!
2.5.2009, definitely a night to remember! Boo-yah, if you don't know what day was it. Quick, I should give you few seconds to figure it out. And yeah, it was Lee Hom's concert, which was held in Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil. I went during the Heroes on Earth World Tour 2007 too, at the same venue. And damn, he's still so charming and smoking hot.
Approximately 8.25 p.m, after performances from Daniel Lee and an unknown local Chinese female singer, we finally got what we were waiting for since 7.00 p.m. Everybody was cheering and screaming, including myself of course, to greet Lee Hom. And obviously, he kicked-off with 搖滾怎麼了, a rock song from his latest album. Right next, he unleashed the Bahamut, which was custom made for him by Alistair. The guitar was the second main focus of the whole concert, and the solo part totally rocked!
I gave thumbs up for the props as well. The four screens which acted as the backdrops were simply marvellous. They totally put us in a cinema, with breathtaking graphics and images. And I simply adore the part where he played piano and violin. The ballads were perfect, with songs like 你不在 and 唯一. I actually fell in love with a quote displayed on the screens too, which is "当MUSIC-MAN卸下英雄的外衣,也只是个需要爱的普通男人". Really true, isn't it? Aww..
And there were parts where he played with some small trick or maybe magic. It was amazing when he appeared on stage as the singer, guitarist, bassist and drummer. It was really cool, to see Lee Hom as all four of them in the screen when he was singing 改變自己. Next, he appeared all of a sudden in the crowd of fans when he was actually singing on the stage the second before. Great suspense, it really was.
He left once he sang 蓋世英雄 and 心中的日月. Of course, we shouted for encore, and no doubt he returned with 放開你的心, 愛你等於愛自己 and Kiss Goodbye. The concert lasted for approximately 3 hours, which was the longest concert I've been to. Can you see how awesome he is now? This concert was flawless, it really was. I'm looking forward to his next concert, and I hope I have to chance to go for it again. =P
