Confused

Sometimes, things just don’t go the way we want. This minute, you may be really happy and enjoying the moment, but you will face your greatest problem the next minute. We bring our hopes up high, and it hurts very much when it falls. So, why do people encourage us to have hope in us when we will suffer as much as it when it ends up differently?( I’m not discriminating ).

Things aren’t that perfect as we want them to be. We may think that we have a happy family, but deep down inside, is it the truth? Nobody knows it better than you. There’s no point pretending that everything goes smoothly. You may bluff everybody, but not you yourself. Why wanna live in a world of lies? It definitely doesn’t make your life better.

However, it might be our fault actually. Just a tiny bit of mistakes can ruin the whole thing. But, none of us can predict what’s happening the next minute. Why don’t sort it out and lead a better life ahead? It’s difficult, but that’s the only solution. If you are willing to let it be and regret for the rest of your life, I won’t stop you. But I’m not going to do so.

I’ve been thinking about this and came out with all these. They are not theories, but at least by being optimistic, there are still colours in this black and white chapter of your life. I don’t want to regret for the rest of my life, when everything has already became the past.

I have to sort these out as soon as possible. Eventhough it might be a difficult task, this path I’ve chosen isn’t the simple yet easy one, but I’ll stick to it. I don’t bring hopes up high now, I believe in myself instead. Miracles won’t happen, won’t when it comes to me. Don’t have to waste time waiting for any of them to happen, create a miracle by ourselves. ( I know that this is stupid. Blame me if you want. )

P.S: Ignore this post. Just get the idea randomly.

Child Or Shop?

Seriously, I've got no time to update my blog since school reopened, eventhough I rarely post any entry during holidays also. As i said, 24 hours aren't enough for anyone. We need more, more and MORE!! Perhaps 48 hours will be better? Nah, stop dreaming. =[

So, here it goes. I went to Mid Valley on last Sunday, for the typical activity on weekends. And this was what happened. I saw 2 children, both were girls, crying non stop and running around to look for their parents. No, both of them were from different family, which means there were two child missing cases on that particular day, and it is just what I've seen, maybe there were more. Who knows?

I seriously got no idea what's in the parents' mind nowadays. If you can let your child be in this situation, I really doubt that you are a loving parents. Can you just shop halfway and totally ignore the presence of your child? God knows what are you thinking? They were like so lost without parents. Luckily there were people to lend a helping hand to the kids. This is what I personally feel proud of. A Malaysian isn't as bad as what we think of sometimes. There is always people who is willing to help. But I'm totally disappointed with these parents.

Can't they just keep an eye on their child properly? This he or she, is nobody else but their child!! I seriously don't hope to see this happening again.

Bro, The Star?!

Well, I'm going to talk about last Sunday event, due to my laziness to post any entry and there is always homework waiting for me. So, this story went like this. I woke up in the beautiful Sunday morning ( I doubted it ) and read the offline message from my brother. He basically said that he was in The Star for that particular day and insisted for me to check it out for him.

The usual me definitely forgot what he said and ended up recalling that there was such thing only in the evening, very near to night. Had to rush to the newspapers stand as we didn't have the habit of reading The Star. Took us at least half an hour just to get hold of that newspaper.

I had to search the article for my mum because she didn't bring her spectacles along that day. Flipped each and every pages trying to spot for my BROTHER. And at last, I failed. My mum took it from me and tried to search as well. In few minutes time, she found it! I was like, gosh, I wonder how she managed to do that. I'll post the picture and you'll understand what I mean. The article is attached below.

Beware the spin-masters

EurofileBy CHOI TUCK WO

It’s utter folly to ignore political bloggings; every effort must be made to separate the wheat from the chaff.

WITH the prospect of a general election looming in everyone’s mind, political blogs and websites have proven hugely irresistible, especially for Malaysians residing overseas.
The phenomenal hype surrounding the popularity of this new media might seem, on the surface, to be a little perplexing.
Yet most people have an obvious relish for bloggers – they like nothing more than to deflate the egos of the idle rich and puncture the pomposity of the powerful.

Plain speaking: Lee having a discussion with MCA UK Club president Eric Choo (fourth from right), secretary Dr Kew Hsein Yang (second from right) and other committee members in London. — CHOI TUCK WO

What a world away all this cyber-bashing is from the days of opposition rallies and ceramah which drew massive crowds.

After all, we do live in an age where too many fall for patently absurd or irrational conspiracy theories spun on the Internet.

It’s utter folly to ignore political bloggings; every effort must be made to separate the wheat from the chaff to grasp a wider perspective of the situation.

Datuk Lee Hwa Beng knows only too well the dangers of treating bloggers as mere garbage.

“You get lots of half-truths and three-quarter truths but never ignore them,” said the chairman of MCA’s International Affairs bureau.

Lee’s plain-speaking and blunt integrity pack a powerful punch when it comes to engaging political bloggers.

Every accusation, he feels, must be nipped in the bud; stubborn silence will only allow a whole thicket of doubts to flourish. And the retribution can be brutal. Suddenly, you’re bleeding and you never even saw the knife. But to go on overdrive, such as countering “poison with poison” will result in overkill, akin to cutting the nose to spite the face.

Phantom e-mail

Touted as the first Malaysian politician to have his own website (hwabeng.org.my) in 1995, Lee has displayed plenty of guts in dealing with phantom e-mail over the years.

Taking the bull by the horns, he not only replies to every allegation but, where necessary, posts them on his website.

He spoke of an anonymous e-mail accusing him of receiving a hefty bribe running into millions of ringgit for a project in Malaysia.

“I posted the allegation on my website and challenged the person to show proof and to lodge a report with the ACA,” he said.

Of course, the accusation could not be substantiated and the issue eventually died down.

Lee, however, expressed concern over Malaysians studying or working overseas who could be exposed to plenty of anti-government materials on the Internet.

“If in doubt, always e-mail me or the MCA to clarify the situation,” he told MCA UK Club’s newly elected president Eric Choo and his committee in London earlier this week.

Among those present were the club’s deputy president Jack Chor, secretary Dr Kew Hsein Yang, its Birmingham branch chairman Liew Jia Harng, its Cardiff branch chairman Chen Kien Lun, deputy chairman Kenneth Tiong and secretary Tie Teck How.

Membership drive

Lee said he planned to set up MCA clubs in countries that have Malaysian associations to help members keep abreast with political developments back home. “We can work together with Malaysian associations in cities like Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Washington and Paris. “Our target is to have an MCA club working alongside every Malaysian association across the world,” he added.

Lee said they also hoped to recruit more graduates and professionals for greater continuity.

While the clubs in UK and Ukraine are mostly student-based, those in Australia and Japan have more professionals.

And for the first time, the bureau plans to organise a career fair in London focusing on job opportunities in China and the Middle East, particularly in Dubai and Qatar.

Choo said he had launched a recruitment drive as one of his major tasks to boost the club’s members from about 200 to at least 500.

“We hope to set up branches in Manchester and Warwick, which have a substantial number of Malaysian students,” he added.

Currently, the club has four regional branches in London, Cardiff, Sheffield and Birmingham.

The club is also inviting all Malaysians to attend its Chinese New Year open house at Malaysia Hall in London’s Bayswater on Feb 17.

2008, Year of Changes

Okay, these are some new changes of Seri Suria for year 2008.

1. The Multi Purpose Hall

What can I say? The canteen is on the ground floor of the hall. Although it's bigger, but students can't find seats also. Maybe because of the same amount of tables and benches. I don't really like the new canteen though. Students might line up for a long time just to buy a packet of biscuits or 1 drink. They didn't organise it properly I think. Everybody has to be there as early as possible just to escape from the long queue. Anyway, the other parts of the Multi Purpose Hall aren't okay yet. They are still furnishing the building and dust particles are what we can see everywhere.

2. Formal assembly

As we know, formal assembly is on every Monday. I've got no idea why the school management changed it to every Tuesday. And it will be held in the new building once it is ready. This means that students have to walk all the way down to attend this assembly. Won't it be like kinda troublesome?

3. Ms Julia's absence

She left the school. This is perhaps the shocking news for the first day of school. Not going to elaborate much on this. =]

4. MORE new teachers

Seems that many teachers left again. So, of course there are new ones coming to the school to take over their places. Haven't get the chance to meet the new Physics teacher yet. But I'm sure his English pronounciation will be better. =P

5. Examinations

Well, usually the exams will be on the first or second week after the March holidays, I mean the first term exams. But surprisingly, for this year, there won't be a first term exam on March, it will be an assesment on the end of February. We don't have to sit for each and every papers, which means this way saves lots of time. Then the second term will be like usual at the end of June, trial will be on October and SPM on November. 2008 is a year of exams. =[

Thta's all I can think for now. Might update later if I figure out some new changes.

Welcome 2008!!

Yesterday was the last day for Year 2007. Gosh, I'll miss you. None of the memories in Year 2007 will be erased from my mind ( Okay, I know I'm forgetful, but I won't forget them ). So, moving on to the Year 2008, and the first thing I felt once I woke up in the morning was, TIRED.

Went out for the whole day yesterday. My daddy was having a small party at home, but I was absent of course. As I reached home kinda late, my daddy's friends said that he was about to dial 999, saying that I was missing ( They were joking. =P ).

Play list for 31.12.2007

1. Bukit Bintang

Shopped in Pavilion while waiting for the night. Dropped by Starbucks to have my breakfast+lunch+tea time. So, imagine what time I had that meal. Met one small little girl in it. She was really cute, and she kept asking her daddy with all sort of questions like, "Daddy, is it still Alvin and the Chipmunks?" and "Why can't we watch others?". Later on, a guy who was wearing cap came in. I just found that he looked very familiar, until the peeps at the next table said that that guy was Daniel Lee. And they urged each other to snap a picture with him. After that headed to Times Square to spend the remaining time. =]

*My first meal*

*The cute little girl, I love her!!*

*Took Daniel's back also*

2. Eye on Malaysia

There were lots of people there yesterday, but too bad there wasn't any fireworks that night. But the Watersky Spectacular was awesome. I've got no idea how they made it but I really love the presentation. Went for the Ferris wheel there of course, not high enough actually. =]

*The laser beam*

*Beach, i love this image*

*Swirls*

*The Petronas Twin Tower*

*Kuala Lumpur Tower*

*It's changing shape <3*

*Eye on Malaysia*

*I've got no idea what's all these buildings*

*My eye on Malaysia =]*

*Reflection of Eye on Malaysia in the water*

*Eye on Malaysia*
*Looking down from the highest point of Eye on Malaysia*
3. Sungai Wang
Waited there since 10 something at night. The crowd there was totally crazy. All playing with the sprays and foam. There was a concert going on there, but from the junction, you can always see those white foams in the air, they were playing like nobody's business. God bless that I was fine, safe from them. Luckily the fireworks rocked. Although they were kind of simple and ordinary one, unlike those we can see in the television, it was like a kind of satisfaction to see them after waiting for a long time. Well, I was stunned by them and didn't take any photos. What a waste!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
