Autumn's Concerto

Synopsis: -

Ren Guang Xi, a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He’s the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation.

That is until he meets Liang Mu Chen, the new bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Chen does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Chen teaches him how to give and love.

Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery which causes him to lose his memory. His mother begs Mu Chen to leave him and the latter has no choice but to do so. Little does she know that she already has Guang Xi’s child.

Six years pass. Mu Chen lives a quiet life with her young son in the countryside while Guang Xi is now a successful lawyer and is engaged to He Yi Qian, the kind and beautiful doctor who took care of him after his surgery. A strangely familiar piano piece stirs Guang Xi’s heart as he struggles to recall his past romance with Mu Chen. How will the couple make up for six years of lost time?

Happiness, which stop will I alight at?

P.S: I think it would be a great drama, because I don't usually tear when I watch previews. :)

Thank You

A friend is a gift. Whether those words have ever rolled off your tongue or drifted through your head in a quiet moment of deep reflection, the truth is undeniable. Friends are always the one who lessen our sorrows and broaden our smiles. They are like the sunlight after a heavy downpour, and I'm very positive about this.

When adversaries conspire against us, our friends can be counted on to mount a ready defense. To friends we can entrust our innermost selves, knowing they will safeguard our secrets and advise with gentle candor. Listening to our tribulations, they understand even what we do not say. I once heard of a quote, which goes like this, "The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had." This is one of my favourite quote, no doubt.

After all these years, I wouldn't say that I have a lot of friends, but I'm glad that I have a few of them who are real angels. You know who you are, don't you? And dear readers, have you found yours? Give your friends a big hug today because friendship is a blessing, and not a given right.

Happy Merdeka!

30.8.2009

On the night of Merdeka eve, Bea organised a BBQ party and invited few of us over. I went there pretty early because I gotta pass Tio some notes and also to deliver dinner for him in Subang. Early birds get the worms, but not in this case. June, Han Yi and I came earlier, and thus had to help Bea with her fruit salad. Sometimes, there're benefits also to be a typical Malaysian.

After some preparation, we headed down to the barbeque pit. I honestly dunno how long we used to start the fire, even with the help of fire starter. We stoned there from 8 p.m to 11 p.m, only by then the fire was ready for us to start our barbeque session. So what did we do for 3 hours? Talk, talk and talk, and how can we not take any pictures? =P

Awesome people =P

Matching colors, and I just noticed them :)

Again? Haha. Oh, that's Alena & Karen.

Say hi to my personal GPS :)

And Kian Yap gave me the first and only sausage I had that day =P

I left around 11 plus because it was really late already. Remember that I said the fire was only ready around 11 p.m? So yeah, it was a BBQ party without involving myself in the barbeque session. Haha. Oh, and there wasn't any fireworks this year. Merdeka eve without fireworks still kinda incomplete, right? =)

Merdeka!

Can you see how crowded was Taylor's Main Campus on that day? There was a celebration in conjunction of Malaysia's 52nd year of independence few days before the big day itself. We didn't plan to join at first, but since it was our break time, we decided to get the flags and also to join the rest.

Honestly, we couldn't listen to the emcee at all. Everybody was talking and having fun taking pictures randomly. But when the national anthem started, everybody sang together. I used to sing this song on every formal assembly and it has been a year since I last did that. Good old times, they really are. And yeah, we sang "Tanggal 31" and "Keranamu Malaysia" too. Of all the songs, I still like "Keranamu Malaysia" the most. =P

Movie Marathon

17.9.2009

Did I mention in my blog before that I'm actually in the midst of holidays right now? I guess I did not. =P So, if you've been wondering why there are many updates in this week, then your question is answered now.

So, few of us ( PM8-ers ) went to Mid Valley with Mr. Peter yesterday. And the main reason of this outing was to catch a movie, but we ended up with a movie marathon instead. It wasn't too bad to walk into the cinema twice in a day. Furthermore, I always wanted to have a movie marathon before this.

The movies of our choice were "Tsunami at Haeundae" and "Where Got Ghost?". Frankly speaking, "Tsunami at Haeundae" is really worth watching. I didn't expect it to be such a good movie in fact. You'll laugh and you'll also shed a tear for this movie. Definitely one of the best Korean movie that I've ever watched. "Where Got Ghost?" was pretty okay, bringing out moral values in every short story. I didn't watch for some of the parts though. =P

In 10 minutes time, a mega-tsunami will hit that very spot you're standing on without mercy.

What will you do?

Where would you go?

Can you save the one you love?

Legal Club

21.8.2009

Another PM8-er is finally legal right now, and the birthday girl for the month is Su Ann. We had 3 hours break in between for that day because LAN class was cancelled. So, all of us decided to celebrate Su Ann's birthday together in Subway.

And the usual blurry Su Ann didn't know that we're planning this surprise birthday celebration for her although most of the PM8-ers were in Subway that day. She didn't seem to see something fishy going on also. So I guess it was pretty successful. Haha.

Birthday cake :)

Set Turns 18

21.8.2009

It was a Friday, and Set and I both stayed back for workshop and extra class again. We didn't know how to trick her out that day, so Karen got her father's number and June called her father to get his help. Yeah, his "help" as in not to go fetch Set. Thus, Set will need me to fetch her.

June's class ended around 4.30 p.m and off we headed to Bea's house in Kelana Jaya. Again, I lied to her and told her that I had to get something there. June was tailing behind all the time. But when we reached Kelana Jaya, we only found out that Set knew what was happening all the while. Why? Because her dad told her, "Mee Kuan asked you to sit her car today." Didn't manage to trick her also in the end.

We headed to Souled Out in Desa Sri Hartamas for a scrumptious dinner with the birthday girl. We reached there around 7.00 p.m and yet we already saw many people dining there. The ambiance in the restaurant was great, but since we didn't make any reservation, we were seated in the garden, which was more casual and of course we can see stars when the sky turned dark.

I forgot its name, but it turned brown after few minutes. =P

My Seafood Marinara, and it's served in a big portion.

June was angry huh? =P

Karen was late that day, but still she came despite how long she was stuck in the traffic jam. Not long after that, we decided to go somewhere else for desserts. We didn't know where to go, and so we went to SS2 for the famous dessert house there again.

Finally legal =)

Group pictures, naming game for you guys again

Happy Birthday!

Mr. Peter's Birthday!

14.8.2009

Still can't guess what were we up to on the other day? My title of the post tells it all now. Everything we did on that day was to give Mr. Peter a surprise, in conjunction of his birthday on the 17th of August. We decided to prank him earlier because he wouldn't expect that we did it earlier. =P

However, most of us had to attend extra classes and workshops on that day. Tio and Steph were the ones who didn't have to go for any of them and thus they decorated the car all by themselves until we joined them at 3.30 p.m. So, most of the artwork was done by both of them and we only added some. It wasn't easy, because both of them stood under the hot sun for an hour.

And, ta-dah..!

Our masterpiece!

Lots of LOVE for Mr. Peter =P

And no doubt, he's still The Hulk!

You wouldn't know why until you see his muscles.

And of course, he's very patriotic!

Lovely, right?

Ms. Chong joined us around 4 p.m and decorated the car with us as well.
She was excited about the prank on Mr. Peter and couldn't afford to miss it. =P

It was Ms. Chong's idea that we should do it based on Merdeka theme. =P

Ms. Cindy was the one who helped us to keep an eye on Mr. Peter. She told us that Mr. Peter returned to the staffroom from workshop already, and thus we gotta find a reason to get Mr. Peter to his parking lot. We asked the guard to call Mr. Peter and to tell him that his car windows were broken. The guard was really awesome, he even walked all the way to a public phone to call Mr. Peter, so that Mr. Peter won't find out whose number was it. =P

And when Mr. Peter arrived..

All of us came out from our hiding place and shouted "Happy Birthday!"

Trying to recognise faces to see who played a prank on him =P

Mr. Peter and his lovely car =)

Still can't believe it yet. Haha.

Then, we asked Mr. Peter to drive his car around My Place with all the lecturers in it.

Oh, this was Ms. Chong's idea also. Doesn't it remind you of something? =P

Shirley with her oh-so-wonderful laughter again. Haha.

And we were all waiting for them to return

And now they finally came back =)

Can't wait to get down of the car? Haha.

Of course, we could never forget the cake. By PM8 =)

Sir, do you want to drink ANYTHING? Haha!

The group picture =)

Sir, lecturers and PM8-ers, PM6-ers and PM9-ers =)

After that, we suggested to return to the cafeteria since we gotta cut the cake somewhere. So, we asked Mr. Peter to drive his car back to main campus, which means he gotta drive all the way from McDonald's to TBS then only to main campus. According to Shirley who was in the car, everybody was looking at them throughout the whole journey. Haha.

Looking awkwardly at them =P

But sir was more than only happy of course =P

Oh, JUST MARRIED huh? Haha.

Finally entered the main campus

And the guard was trying hard not to laugh
