De-Stress

Examinations last for 5 weeks, and it's only the third week right now. 4 papers down, and 6 more papers are waiting ahead. The toughest war is about to begin, because Chemistry and Biology are the next. Biology is the one which makes me staying up late these days, but I still find it difficult to load all the facts into my mind. Perhaps I gotta love Biology more to understand it.

Most of us are stressed these days, especially when we're facing the books for weeks. We don't know whether our hard work will pay off or not, but all we can do right now is to be focused and study. ( But don't be overworked! Tan Shirley and Tio, bear in mind. )

And there are times, when I feel that everything's wrong, and I feel like giving up. I begin to doubt about my decisions and choices. But, slowly I realise that, life goes on, no matter I'm ready or not. Although it is not easy to deal with all these, I still believe that the sun will shine through the dark clouds one day. Everything will be fine, sooner or later.

Bring it on!

Mid-Autumn Festival

3.10.2009

It was indeed a different Mid-Autumn Festival for Year 2009. I know, you might wonder why, because it is a normal festival, with a great variety of mooncakes and some snacks. For the years before this, I celebrated it with my family and relatives. But for this year, some of the PM8-ers headed to Jennie's house for dinner. Yes, it's pretty ordinary for you, but it isn't for me. It was the first time I celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival with my classmates, and it's very memorable indeed.

The journey from Subang to Klang was really memorable also. Tio was exaggerating about it in his blog, but I bet he wouldn't forget about it, even after he has 5 kids to take care of. Haha. ( Oh, and I won't let your kids influence my kids, for sure! ) The traffic wasn't smooth on that particular night, I dunno why also, so we reached Jennie's house around 8.30 p.m. =P

Jennie & I =)

After our dinner, we went for a walk around the housing area with all the lighted lanterns. Lanterns are beautiful, and they remind me of fireflies. ( I wanna see fireflies! ) But I've got no idea why the candles finished off quickly, in a few minutes only. Tsung Wai gotta light the lanterns for us again and again, one by one. Haha.

And this is Tio.

The ladies and Tsung Wai who were busy with the lanterns.

They are John, Aaron and Sam. See, busy talking only. =P

And my Li Jin darling. ( Don't kill me for this. =P )

Spot the lantern! But I only know he's from KungFu Panda, dunno his name.

Sexy No.1 posing with Mickey. =)

Oh, Sam came right after a wedding dinner to watch a movie. Why didn't we buy popcorn on that day? =P

Lighting more lanterns.

PM8 <3

They're the ones who make long hours of classes seem FUN.

The best shot for the night =P

I find this picture a bit emo, don't you think so?

Mee Kuan, Vivian, Wen Qi, Heng, Cindy, Ning & Li Jin

Yours truly & Sexy No.1

I dunno what's he pointing at. =P

Ms. Treasurer on the right. =)

Vivian & Ning, with John who obviously can't hide himself.

Coincidentally, Sam's friend lives few houses away from Jennie's house only. =P

Jennie & John

This is also one of my favourite shots for that night. I'm a good photographer!

Aaron, Jennie, Sam, Tio & I

They went hyper all of a sudden. Haha.

J & J again.

Tsung Wai & Cindy were chasing after each other in fact, but I missed that shot.

Tio, you know what I wanna put as caption right? =P

And Vivian is really obedient, she posted this as her profile picture. =P

Showing off their skills, to people like me who doesn't know how to do it.

Playing with candles.

And the final product! =)

Sharing Is Caring

Because we appreciate you =)

Obssesion

Don't you think that chocolate is one of the best creations of man? I really do appreciate the person who actually thought of making chocolate when this idea didn't pop out in the mind of god-knows-how-many-people. Honestly, I would wish to give him or her an award for doing this for the world, or perhaps he or she already won a title or an award. =P

And why-oh-why should we have chocolates? ( No, these aren't excuses to indulge a craving for chocolate. They are reasons. )

  1. Chocolate boosts mood. It triggers a feeling similar to that of "falling in love". Don't you love to be loved? Feeling a little down? Go get a bar of chocolate now!
  2. Chocolate is better than your car. Why? Because cops won't stop you for eating chocolates too fast. And the best thing is, it doesn't cause accidents. =)
  3. Chocolate is easy to get. You must be kidding me if you say you can't get chocolate, it would be equivalent as telling me that Tio is tall. ( Sorry Tio! )
  4. And of course, chocolate is affordable. You don't have to get the expensive ones, you can get good chocolates at a reasonable price like RM 3.00 for a bar. =P
  5. A vacation in Japan makes you headache because you don't understand their language. But chocolate doesn't, because chocolates speak your language.
  6. You don't have to plan your schedule to have a packet of chocolates! You can have them anytime, anywhere. Isn't that cool?
  7. Chocolates are packed in a charming little box. You can finish the chocolates in it and put your accessories in the box. A better way to save money.
  8. And you can also get the free gift which comes in a set with the chocolates. The gift may be a cute little teddy, or even a small Mickey Mouse figure. Don't you love it?
  9. Oh, and chocolate is readily available. They are always punctual, because they are right there, just for you. If you're upset, your boyfriend may takes up to 20 minutes to reach you, but chocolate will be there in a split second. =P
  10. Best of all, chocolate is always COMPATIBLE. So, don't worry. =)

P.S: The blogger is releasing her stress with random things like this. I hope you do enjoy the post though. =P

Thoughts

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be but, when you lock your eyes with them, you know that every moment they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes, things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair but, upon reflection, you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul.

Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back, unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.

Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you.

Love Without Measure

I've been listening to this song for days, it has the highest play counts in my Ipod now.

This song is the theme song for the Taiwanese drama, "Autumn's Concerto", which I posted its preview earlier. And that's how I know about the existence of this song. The drama and the song are both great, in my opinion. But I bet Li Jin agrees also. =P

New Perspective

When I was younger, maybe around 12 years old or so, I would always wish to grow up faster. I would always wish to see 18 candles on my birthday cake on the next year. And now, I'm already 18 years old. But things changed, '18' is just an insignificant number now.

And I really love toddlers and kids, not when they cry though, because I'll be freaked out. But honestly, their gestures and the innocent smile on their face can usually make me laugh. They don't hide their feelings, everything will be shown on their face, whether they're happy or sad. Isn't it good to be kids then?

When I look at an old drunk man and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away. But kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back. When I hear music which I love, I know I can’t carry a tune and don’t have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen. Kids however feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don’t know them, they make up their own. When I pray I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that. But kids say, "Hi God! Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. I would miss my mummy and daddy."

People used to say that we're given kids to teach them. But I really doubt that. Because at times, we learn from them. Try to look through a child's eyes when you find yourself in a worst senario of life.

We went there after we had dim sum for brunch in Happy Garden. =P

PM8 First Field Trip

12.9.2009

The day after our last paper for trials, PM8-ers went to Islamic Arts Museum alongside with Ms. Chong's students from other classes. You may think that an excursion to a museum will be boring, but that thought didn't even come across our mind at all. Because nearly everybody in the class went for the trip in the end, except few of them who returned to their hometown on the day itself or the day before.

We were told that there's a beautiful garden next to the museum, and we were brilliant enough to make a decision, which was to have a picnic there. We brought our own food of course, and I bought cereals ( Koko Krunch and Honey Star ) for them. But after this trip, I finally found out that nobody fancy them. =P

And no doubt, I had fun in the museum. There are so many things in the galleries which I've never seen before this. Oh, not to forget, there's a coin gallery which I personally like the most. All of them are different in size and also design. If I'm not wrong, one of the coins is tinier than the 1 cent coin we had before this. I bet people used to misplaced their coins at that time. =P

And now we're in the picture :P ( Tio, Mee Kuan & Shirley )

Again, I'll leave this naming game to you :)

I love this angle :) Thanks to Mr. Agas

That's me and Ms. Chong, then Sam, Mr. Peter and Tsung Wai kacau :P

It's sizzling HOT! =P

And guess what, we had our picnic in the bus instead! We were short of time and most of the workers in the museum were fasting during that time, so we decided to eat the food we brought when we were on the way back to college. Melissa made sushi for us while Steph's mum made sandwiches. Tasted really good, and I bet Tio agrees with me. Haha.
