It's Never Too Late

“If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?”

Ask yourself this question and see what pops in your mind right now. Time and tide wait for no man, and I'm sure everybody is aware of that. Then why, why are we still waiting until the last minute, or maybe after it's gone to show how much we care or love?

I read an article online just now, and I think that it's really true.

We should give our roses to the living and not save them for the dead. When a person dies, everyone who loved them will cancel their other obligations, send a big bouquet of flowers, jump on an airplane and fly across the country to look at their dead friend in a box.”

Yes, everybody is busy with own work or studies. But, is it really hard to take an hour or so to meet family and friends? Shouldn't we spend some time with them while we can and appreciate them while they're still here? Saying “thank you”, “I love you”, “I need you”, “having you in my life has been a blessing”, or any words that convey heartfelt gratitude and appreciation should happen daily.

Start your day with this tiny little message in your mind. I hope it helps.

Birthdays

10.7.2009

It was Chun Yew's pre-birthday celebration, and most of the Joyians turned up to celebrate his birthday in Look Out Point, a western restaurant in Langat Hill. Thanks to Bea and Karen, or else I'll never get there. You see, Langat Hill, which means we really gotta drive all the way up to the top. Dangerous, and at the same time pretty scary.

But obviously, the view is great. And that's the main attraction of Langat Hill. Seriously, the food isn't any better than any restaurants in the city. So, I reached there around 8 p.m that day and all the girls were already there. And surprisingly, none of the guys were there.

We had a nice time chatting with each other about college and everything else. Honestly, I was surprised with the changes in all of them. Dunno why, I really feel that most of them looked different these days. 7 months indeed more than enough for things to change. Glad to meet them though.

And guess what, the guys only arrived around 9.30 p.m, which was 1.5 hours later than the actual time for the dinner. Ishh ishh! Since I can't go home really late, I left after Chun Yew's birthday celebration and missed Audrey's. Anyways, happy birthday to both of them. =)

I smell L.O.V.E

OMG! I just realised that I actually watched "The Proposal" 5 days before its actual screening day. Maybe that's one of the privilege for working as a part timer also. So I won't post the movie review right now, or else there isn't any surprise for you in the cinema. That's only one thing that I can confirm, this movie really worth a walk down the movie aisle. =)

P.S: There's few more updates, but I don't have the time.

Sequel

10.7.2009

It was Chee Seong's last day in Subang before he returned to Kuantan for a week. Hence, 5 of us ( Shirley, Li Jin, Tio, Chee Seong and I ) decided to hang out after our classes. As if Chee Seong will no longer be in Subang. Haha.

And we went for a oh-so-full lunch in Fullhouse, which is located inside Ara Damansara. The NZX is pretty much like a deserted place, without Disney Lights and Lanterns Festivals. Most of the stalls and shops shifted to other places, and Fullhouse is the only centre of attraction now.

I believe, if you are a reader of my blog since last year, you would have notice that I actually paid this cafe a visit before. It's a lifestyle store and cafe, which means there are some goods to be sold in the cafe. Seriously, they are really nice and cute. :)

Goofy kissing his twins. Haha

Shirley went hyper when she saw muscular Spiderman =P

Chio menu :)

Set lunch comes with a cup of ice lemon tea and a soup of the day

And a meal of our choice ( Carbonara Spaghetti )

Signature Chicken Chop

Pan-Fried Dory Fish, I think.

Of course, desserts are provided too.

Goofy, Sleepless Nights and Childish

Group picture =)

Took their shower together!

Seems like I'm really tall, right right? =P

Tio's trying to catch the bird, aiyo!

Like what I've mentioned earlier, there's nothing around for us to go for sightseeing or shopping. So, off we headed back to Sunway Pyramid, our usual hang out spot. We managed to do some quick window shopping, and of course Tio was really bored. =P Not to forget, we took neoprints as well. Still, we can't get the timing right. Needs more practice huh? Haha.

Once a PM8-er, forever you are :)

Why goldfish and chicken huh? Haha.

*Yawn* We're all sleepy

I love this the most!

Smooches :P

Behind The Scenes

We, PM8-ians, will know about this. When anybody is leaving us for any reasons, he or she will have to give a short speech. And of course, Chee Seong isn't an exception, and he did the same thing. I recorded the whole thing, pretty smart huh? :P

And when everybody went home, Chee Seong said that he was a bit shy to express his real feelings in words just now. And once again, I was smart enough to make him do it again and recorded that as well. Oh yeah, the second video is in Cantonese. Figure it out yourself if you don't understand it. =)

Nothing But Disappointment

It's a day I've been waiting for since last year, the release day of Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince movie. Hence, I went into the cinema with really high hopes to watch such a great movie. Great movie, at least that's what I think before the movie started.

But, it was really disappointing on my opinion. Too many details in the book aren't there in the movie. It really makes me wonder, how are they going to relate this with the Deathly Hallows, the 7th movie. The Burrow is burned down? Yeah, I can't imagine how will they screw Deathly Hallows now. There isn't a funeral for Dumbledore too. And the climax of the book about the fights in Hogwarts, nothing is shown in the movie. What's wrong?

The only thing they emphasize on is the relationships between the teenagers. And yet, it isn't well shown as well. Harry would have break up with Ginny in the end! But Lavender Brown's obsessed love for Ron is pretty funny though.

Okay, I do admit that the cinematography is really good. The lights, sound effects and everything else. But a good plot is the main point of the whole movie. They should really consider which part to cut down and which part to modify properly. Hopefully Deathly Hallows can be way better than this.

Chee Seong's Farewell

7.8.2009

It was Chee Seong's last day in PM8. A really short notice indeed. We all knew that he was about to leave, but dunno which day he decided. And after our lunch, he then said that he will leave on that day. According to him, he wanted to keep it low, but that's not what we did.

We were all planning for a last minute farewell when Ms. Chong and Chee Seong were discussing at the corridor. When Chee Seong left to get something, we were about to ask for Ms. Chong's permission. But who knows, Ms. Chong asked Tsung Wai to buy a cake for Chee Seong already. See, we were all thinking about the same thing. =P

Farewell cake

Bye Bye PM8? Shouldn't it be Chee Seong instead? =P

Our lesson ended half an hour earlier and we all knew what's happening except for Chee Seong of course. And for a reason which I dunno, the boys were pretty wild and scary that day, unlike usual. Cake fights and chasing after each other? That's really the first time after so many birthdays or farewells. I bet the 'Mak Cik" who cleaned the day was cursing us for the whole day.

Cutting the cake, as usual

Shirley & Ms. Chong were helping out?

Beginning of the cake fights!

Tio kena-ed next

Sam's bear hug? Haha.

And the cake landed on Jennie's bag

See see, pretty scary huh?

They didn't let Ms. Chong go for her next class without some cake on her face

And of course he got it lah!

Li Jin's eyes blinked already

And now Shirley's turn, aiyoh!

Finally :)

By the way, he's still a Taylor's student, studying Taylor's Business Foundation. So, Yap Chee Seong, I see no reason for you to not keep in touch with us or whatever thingy. All the best in TBS and we'll meet in Asia Cafe during your formal wear day! :)

P.S: Videos will be posted real soon. I can't upload my videos for god-knows-why now!

Series

Bea & June, I've changed my layout already!
There isn't any Ice Age 3 layouts up for grab, so this will do also.

Both of you better change your layout A.S.A.P!
If I'm not wrong,
Bea gotta change it to Terminator Salvation themed layout and Transformers for June. =P

P.S: My lovely weekends waved "Goodbye" to me. =(

Peaches

A very random text message: "Movie today, together with June."

I can't really recall the content of the exact message, but it was something similar. And it entirely filled my boring day with lots of fun. Oh yeah, it was a message from Bea. Of all the movies, we chose to watch Ice Age 3, despite all of us didn't watch the previous ones. My very first time watching a 3-D movie in KLCC too.

Funny characters :)

Juneebaby and I

June, Yours Truly and Bea

Ice Age 3 is definitely the best choice of movie in this month if you wanna have a good laugh. I literally forgot how stressful I was the minute the movie started. I can only hear myself and the rest laughing all the time. And I'm totally in love with Peaches now. Aww, damn adorable. Really wish to have one at home. Anybody knows where to get the toy which resembles her? =P

As if we were tourists :P

Still my photography skills better, don't have to brighten this picture

Nice?

We were all starving after the movie. Therefore, we went high and low to search for a restaurant of our choice. The Apartment, our final decision. It was my first time dining there too. See, so many first time's on that day. =P Thumbs up for both the ambiance and food. We can have a clear vision of the fountain from our seats too. I think it will be really nice at night.

View from our seats

Trying to be cute, a success perhaps?

Fork as a weapon =P

Passion Fruit Freezer, damn refreshing!

Fish & Chips

Chicken & Mushroom with Spaghetti? ( Not really sure )

Comfy sofa :)

That's not the full stop of our day though. June and I were craving for ice cream, so we went to Haagen Dazs for desserts. OMG, one can never resist ice cream. My favourite besides chocolate. No wonder I gain so much weight these days. =P

Emo-ing

Why??!

Because the ice cream was mine =P
