Fund

Finally handed the cheque to the person in charge for this raising fund thingy of China Press in Bangsar. The fund will be banked into the Yayasan Nanyang Press and will be handed to Szechuan on 31st of May. Although RM 4500 is not really a big amount, but we helped them with our sincere hearts. Hope they can go through all these tough days as soon as possible.

May God bless them.

YOU Can Make A Difference

Okay, I know that I should have blog about the trip to Parliament and Teachers' Day before this post but I was still exhausted and I haven't get all the photos and pictures yet. Furthermore, there is something much more important for me to blog about.

So this is what happened. I went to a dinner with my mother's side relatives just now because my aunt and her family who live in Singapore for all this time returned to Malaysia this afternoon. Coincidentally, I saw the charity programme which was live from Hong Kong.

For all this time, I only saw pictures from newspaper and felt sorry for them. And now, I saw video. I saw women crying over their husbands and children dead bodies. It's hard for them to move on because their precious ones just left them. If I was one of them, I might not stay strong at all and rather die with my family. I really hope I can do something for them, even it is a minor one.

The earthquake happened on the 12th of May. As in 17th of May, there were nearly 30,000 people who passed away and there were 14,000 people missing. Their family members were taking pictures of them and searching for them while crying. A healthy person who is buried underground can only live for 8 days without food and drink. 3 more days left. I really hope the volunteers, police, army, doctors or whoever can save as many people as they can. Seriously, I even feel like being a volunteer now. Imagine a simple act of yours can help those needy. We are humans and we got feelings. Although we are from different countries, but we are somehow connected. I wish to do my part for them.

I was wondering whether the school will raise fund for them, the victims in China. We did for the victims during the Tsunami in Indonesia and also the children in Darfur. Why not the victims in China now? They need our help also. We are lucky, but what about those unfortunate one? We should not only learn something as in theory. " Lend a helping hand ", I believe everybody knows this well enough. And NOW, it is the time for us to practice it. Let us all pray for those victims in China and may GOD bless them.

MIRACLES do exist in this world~

*Pray for them*

*Parents touched the daughter's hand for the last time*

*Kindergarten children did their part by donating*

*Miracle - She is found still alive after 125 hours buried underground*

*Same goes to this*

P.S: Love has no boundary and it won't limit us.

Happy Teachers' Day

May 16th, I guess everybody knows that this date meant a lot to teachers. But it is also a day for teachers to relax themselves and enjoy their day. So in return, we as students should show our gratitude to them.

So, my school celebrated Teachers' Day as well. It was the last chance for Form 5 students to do something for our teachers. Hence, we planned everything just to make that day a great day for all our beloved teachers!! We discussed, made changes and prepared everything. We did them sincerely and of course with our HEARTS. =]

First activity for the day was this race thingy. Every classes came out with different games for the teachers. All of them were really nice and from the games, we can really see that teachers can act like children sometimes. They pushed each other and made silly faces to their friends in different teams. They were really cute. =P And some people said that one of the games of my class was really disgusting. Okay, I agreed with them. If I was to do that, I guess I won't be able to because they had to put their hands in a biscuit tin with mee, WORMS and tomato sauce. And lots of thanks to my classmates especially June. Just the day before the Teachers' Day, I told her to handle our class games and divide our classmates into different groups. Of course, she did it well enough. Thanks!!

Another game that I heard from most contestants was the eating different food game. Okay, I don't know how to explain but every group had to eat the food provided ( eg. bread with chili or wasabi ). I didn't know about this because I saw a group eating watermelon actually. Refreshing! Too bad for the other groups.

After this tiring race, every teachers went back and cleaned themselves up for the next event, which was EATING TIME. Everybody was really hungry and we had two caterers this year so that there were more varieties of food. Thank Karen's mummy for the yummy-licious food!! Not to forget little Pui Teng who brought cake for the teachers ( Actually for the You-know-who only =P ). She sponsored hampers for the first three winners for the race too. Thanks!!

Then, all of us went back to the class and started to get ready for our performance. Special thanks to June again because she was the only one who did the make up for all of us until she got no time for herself. Faith, my daughter helped me on my hair too. Don't know how to express my gratitude already. =]

When we reached the hall, everybody was there because we were really late. And we sort of screwed up our dance because behind was a mess. But the modern dance did a great job. I enjoyed their dance and when Jiunn Huah acted as Whitney Houston, I laughed non-stop. and for our singing part, it was really wasted actually because there wasn't microphone stand so nobody can hear us. And the dedications, they actually spent lot of time memorising their parts but ended up nobody can hear them. Felt sorry for them. But Rose's solo was really nice. I guess it was only the part others can hear us because the microphone only worked at that time.

We were really relieved when our performance came to an end. We found some seats and enjoyed the rest of the day. Encik Qhalid's singing, the drama and the Bangla ( I don't know how to spell =P ) dance were a great success. All the students cheered for them and we really laughed throughout the whole thing. Thanks teachers because they were willing to perform for us also. All the performances attracted my full attention. I hope the teachers enjoyed them too because all the students practised really hard just to see that smile on teachers' face!!

And we gave out prizes to a few teachers under few categories too. Ms Fam W.W won the Favourtite Teacher award for Form 5 level. We cheered for her really loud with 5 Hope students. Our slogan: " Ms Fam *3 claps* " !! Fishy got the Most Stylish award for the Upper Senior. A fish can b stylish too. Hilarious enough. But he got the wrong trophy because his trophy was printed with Most Hilarious Teacher. XD

That's all for the day. It was the best Teachers' Day for me, maybe because we were really involved in it this time and it's our last year in this school. Lastly,

HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!!
